The missionary
Pastor and Chaplain Deon A. Rodden has been a missionary to the Philippines for more than twenty-five years, serving the Filipino people as an evangelist and teacher and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He spent sixteen years sensing the call before he went. On daily prayer walks in Bataan and Zambales, in conversation with God, he received the vision that this ministry is named for.
The ministry
50 Million Ablaze Ministries works alongside a registered nonprofit church ministry in the Philippines with which he has partnered for many years. Together they have been involved in churches, Bible studies, outreaches and service to communities across the country, and they already have much of the facilities, infrastructure and team needed to carry the vision forward.
What we believe the work is for
- To bring the Gospel to the Filipino people, in crowds and in the side streets.
- To show the love of Christ in practical ways: caring for the sick, housing the elderly, educating the young.
- To see the Philippines become a nation whose influence for good reaches far beyond its own shores.
